 Jaipur - the pink city is the capital of Rajasthan. In 1876 maharaja Ram Singh had the entire old city painted pink to welcome the Prince of Wales and this traditional has been maintained since then. Jaipur is the only city in the world, which is sub-divided in to nine rectangular sectors symbolizing nine divisions of universe. Among many of the city's attractions is Jantar Mantar - astronomical observatory built in 1728 by maharaja Jai Sigh II, Hawa Mahal - pink sandstone palace built in 1799 and famous Raj Mandir Cinema.
